Dr Caroline Wewengkang joins Northside Gynaecology

Dr Caroline Wewengkang will be joining Northside Gynaecology in October 2016 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our practice.

Dr Caroline Wewengkang practices on a Monday and a Thursday at our Kedron location and operates at Caboolture Private Hospital and soon she will include operating at Chermside Day Hospital.


Dr Caroline Wewengkang has special interests in:

  • Vaginal Surgery
  • Hysteroscopic Surgery
  • Laparoscopic Surgery
  • Hysterectomy
  • Management of Abnormal Pap Smears requiring Colposcopy and LLETZ procedure
  • Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding with Endometrial Ablation Procedure
  • Contraception advice including permanent contraception and Mirena
  • Menstrual Disorders
  • Vaginal Prolapse
  • Menopause
  • Urinary Incontinence

Previous Experience and Training;

After graduating from University of Sydney with honours, Dr Wewengkang continued her training in tertiary and regional hospitals across NSW and Queensland. She gained fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2014. Since gaining her fellowship she has been employed by Queensland Health as a staff specialist at Caboolture Public Hospital and joined Northside Gynaecology in October 2016.

She is interested in and actively involved with the ongoing education of medical students, junior doctors and other colleagues.

In her spare time, Dr Wewengkang loves spending time with her partner and two young children. She is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and enjoys travel, going out for dinner and shopping.
